Steven Rau, CPA
Steven enjoys helping his clients with their tax compliance needs. He loves when he is able to help small business owners build successful businesses. By minimizing tax burden and streamlining accounting processes, business owners are free to focus on what they do best.
He also enjoys helping individuals with their annual (and one-time) tax filing requirements. When you’re a client, Steven is happy to be your first call when you receive correspondence from the IRS or other taxing authority, or whenever you have a question about the tax consequences of a particular decision.
Steven received his Master's Degree in Professional Accountancy from Clemson University and his Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from Lawrence University in Wisconsin. He has been a practicing CPA since 2008. In 2019, he started Acuity Taxes & Consulting to pursue his passion of being a trusted advisor to his clients.
When he's not working, Steven spends most of his time with his family. He spends time each day in prayer and contemplation. When he has inspiration, he works on his Substack, “The Contemplative CPA.”
Tara Bolton, CPA
Tara enjoys helping small business clients understand and optimize their accounting systems and processes, as well as helping individuals understand and comply with their income tax obligations.
Tara received her Bachelor's of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2006 and has been licensed as a CPA since 2010.
Over the last two decades, Tara has gained extensive experience helping S-corps, partnerships, individuals, and tax-exempt organizations with their accounting and income tax needs. She is excited for the opportunity to work with Steven at Acuity Taxes & Consulting.
When she's not working, Tara enjoys spending time in nature, reading, and learning to crochet.
